!!! IF YOU DO NOT OBJECT BEFORE SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 YOU ARE DEEMED TO AGREE TO THE APPLICATION. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE TO VOICE YOUR OBJECTIONS!!!
According to the application documents, the only approvals James Dick needs is from the Ministry of Natural Resources (this may or may not be true).
STEP ONE – NOTICE PERIOD August 2, 2018 – September 17, 2018 NOTICE PERIOD: The process under the Aggregate Resources Act is for James Dick to start a 45 day notice period (which it has). The information session at 9120 Twiss Road, Campbellville on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
STEP TWO – OBJECT BEFORE SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 OR YOU ARE DEEMED TO ACCEPT: If you don’t object, and object properly, then you are deemed to accept this quarry. Here’s the steps to properly object:
A. Write out your objection(s) WITH REASONS. Your objection cannot be vexatious or frivolous, so be meaningful in your letter. You must say WHY you object (e.g. water supply concerns (well going dry, pollution), traffic (hundreds of extra trucks on road every day), pollution (destroying a forest), noise, blast vibrations (cracked foundation and/or pool)).
B. BEFORE SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 send your written objections. Make sure you say “I OBJECT” (saying “I’m concerned” or “I need more information” is not an objection).
Important: Objection letters must contain a complete postal address, whether sent by mail or e-mail, or they will not be considered acceptable. A complete postal address includes residence #, street name, town, province, and postal code.

If the letter doesn’t address your concern in a meaningful way, see Step Four.
STEP FOUR – ONCE JAMES DICK GETS BACK TO YOU, YOU HAVE 20 DAYS TO GET BACK TO THEM AND TELL THEM IF YOU STILL OBJECT: If you still object, you need to set out your recommendations back to James Dick. If you do not say you still object within the 20 day period, you are deemed to accept James Dick’s response.
